This painting “Bougainvillaea and Door” was presented to His Excellency Gerhard Schroder Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany by the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, Singapore in May 2003. The Singapore Lecture was delivered by His Excellency under the distinguished Chairmanship of Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, Singapore at that time.

There are many types of sculpture or three dimensional artwork. A few example of this 3D art form:-

  • Carving.
  • Modelling.
  • Construction and assemblage
  • environmental & installation art.
  • Ceramic sculpture.
  • Kinetic mobliles.

Here is one of the image. I like its simple form and the beautiful treatment of its surface. Shaping and working with clay by Jimmy Quek, firing and glazing by Siew Hooi.
