Painting completed in the month of August, 2011.

I have completed this painting. I am delighted to show you how it looks like when it is installed on the wall. I took these 2 photos last night.  Please let me know how do you feel about it.

Painting. 2011 Acrylic on canvas. 102 x 76 cm. By Prabhakara Jimmy Quek.
Paintings installed on the walls.
The month of August 2011 is quite a special month for Singapore because there are two national events fall in August. Event 1: National Day on 9 August; and Event 2: Presidential Election 2011 polling day on 27 August. How do I spend my day on these two dates? For 1:  I joined the Dhammanusari Day Retreat on 9 August; and for 2: I shall go to vote on the polling day morning and to have my painting session with the participants in the afternoon.

Anonymous writes:My interpretation of the painting:A view on top of a mountain overlooking the sea with waves beating against the coastline. The waves moved in such a way like those of flowers (in your other pictures). No matter what seasons as depicted by the white and coloured rocks or mountain, the waves in our lives are still beating and working up a storm. We must stay strong to weather these storms in our life. This is how I see in the painting.

This is a lovely painting 🙂 It made me feel quite refreshed, somehow – maybe it reminds me of the spray from waterfalls and from sea waves 🙂
