When participants practising drawing exercises at my drawing sessions, I suggested them to use 6B pencil, 4B pencil, 2B pencil, H pencil etc for the practice. They can buy a box of pencils at book shop or art shop. During the sessions, they focus on using the pencils for their drawing. However drawing materials do not limited to only these pencils. We can use black ballpoint, charcoal, crayon, pastels, indian ink, Chinese ink brushes and Chinese ink for drawing and others. Participants can try using them at their own time and place.

I am delighted to receive 2 images of paintings from an art lover who had acquired the paintings in the 80's. He told me that he is preparing to move back to his country France after many years in Singapore, while packing the paintings he was curious to know what was happening to the artist Prabhakara Jimmy Quek. He found me via internet. He told me that both paintings have been and still are a pleasure for his eyes everyday... Share with you one of them that I do not have its image last time for my website. Image: Oil painting by Prabhakara Jimmy Quek.
We require direct experience with nature when we work out painting from memory and imagination. We also required good experience in art and skill in executing the painting that we have that in our mind and we shall strife to give full expression to our inner experiences and intention.
