I have had the privilege of guiding numerous participants in their artistic journeys, accompanying them from their early stages as beginners to their development as experienced artists. I am thrilled to announce that Participants Works Gallery 20 is now complete, showcasing an array of impressive works created by these talented individuals. To continue the celebration of their accomplishments, I have recently launched a new web page titled "Participants Works Gallery 21," which can be accessed at http://pabha.com/ParticipantsWorks21. The inaugural piece on this page is a remarkable creation by Janivfer Lim. Janivfer embarked on her artistic journey by learning the fundamentals of drawing, followed by painting lessons. As she gained confidence and skill, she explored various subjects such as still life and landscapes, ultimately venturing into her own unique creations. Witnessing Janivfer's artistic progress and transformation has been truly inspiring. In addition to Janivfer's works, I invite you to explore the vast collection of artworks by other participants at http://pabha.com/ParticipantsWorks20, as well as the previous galleries numbered from 1 to 21. Each gallery offers a captivating glimpse into the diverse talents and creative journeys of these remarkable individuals. Drawing by Alicia Png (age 12). I am happy to help some children, whom their parents send to me for direct observation drawing and painting lessons. They understand the importance of the direct observation method and basic skills in representational art for children. In the children's art classes, they learn and build confidence in their basic drawing and painting skills. With these basic skills, they can do paintings of imagination and creative expression better in the later stage. If you are interested in sending your kids to me to learn art, or you like to learn drawing and painting either from direct observation or imagination yourself, please visit my website and you can register online there.

We require direct experience with nature when we work out painting from memory and imagination. We also require good experience in art and skill in executing the painting that we have in our mind, and we shall strive to give full expression to our inner experiences and intentions.

I share with you a watercolor painting that I have completed recently.

You may know that a sound background in direct observation and representational painting is always useful to achieve a reasonable standard of skill in one’s chosen medium.

Many objects around us would be the best subjects for beginners for drawing or painting. Once you have learned how to see and how to record the objects on the surface, you can then experiment with different techniques and mediums, and you can go even further to explore the world of imagination and work with intuition.

I am happy to share with you three watercolor paintings by Joanne Tan. Joanne is a beginner at watercolor painting. These are the results of her first three lessons with me recently.

I will share with you some artworks by Marc Coulaud. Marc started basic drawing lessons with me, and then he continued with painting lessons. Marc is from France and works in an international corporation in Singapore. We became friends. I am happy to see that he progresses satisfactorily in his art journey.

I like to use acrylic paints because I can work very boldly with the paints for expressive paintings, or I could choose to work with detailed and subtle representations if I wish. Below are four paintings to show you what I mean by that. Feedback is welcome.
